AWeber
Review
AWeber - An
Introduction
AWeber is basically an email
autoresponder that allows you to take complete control of your
email marketing campaigns. You can quickly and easily build and
manage your email lists from a single web-based platform.
Why Should You Use AWeber?
Well for a start you must have an
email list of subscribers if you're serious about making some
serious long-term profits online, and secondly you also need to
use an autoresponder that will actually deliver your messages
to your subscribers.
There are many free
autoresponders available but the trouble with these services is
that their delivery rates are usually extremely low. AWeber, on
the other hand, has one of the highest delivery rates in the
industry due to positive relationships with many of the leading
ISPs. So, as with most things, you get what you pay for.
Another major benefit is that you
can manage unlimited email lists / autoresponders from a single
AWeber account.
How I Use AWeber
I use AWeber to manage all of my
email lists in a variety of different niches but whichever
niche I enter, my overall strategy is always the same.
I will nearly always create a
series of pre-set emails that automatically go out to new
subscribers at specific intervals (in the case of this website
it's the 7 day course that is automatically sent out every day
for 7 days after the person opts in to my list). I try and
provide excellent content within these opening emails because
this helps to build up a relationship with your subscribers and
ensures that your open rates will remain fairly high.
Then I will either continue
entering scheduled emails so that the whole email marketing
campaign is completely automated, or I will send out live
emails whenever there is an excellent new product to promote or
there is a specific time-restricted offer, for instance.
Usually it's a combination of the two.
In one niche I have created email
lists with around two years worth of messages and these are all
scheduled to go out automatically at set intervals. It takes
several days to set this up initially but once you've scheduled
all your messages, you can sit back and relax and hopefully
watch the sales roll in as people automatically pass through
the autoresponder series.
Getting Started
When you first join AWeber there
is a small learning curve. I first joined AWeber about 3 years
ago now and if I remember correctly it took me about 2-3 hours
to navigate my way around AWeber's site and learn how
everything works. It is, however, a lot easier nowadays because
there are now wizards that help you with every step of the
process and it's all relatively straight-forward. Plus if you
do run into difficulties you can always contact the support
team who are always on hand to answer any questions you may
have.
Additional Features
I have to admit I don't really
use many of AWeber's more advanced features but there are
plenty of useful tools that you may wish to use.
For example if you like to fully
analyse all of your email campaigns you can carry out extensive
split-testing, you can split your lists up into segments (such
as freebie seekers and buyers, or through geo-targeting), you
can track sign up rates and click-thru rates on links within
your email messages, you can easily integrate autoresponders
into shopping carts, and you can choose from (and customize)
over 100 different HTML templates if you want to move away from
the traditional plain text emails.
Pricing
The prices for the AWeber
autoresponder may seem on the high side at first glance but
when you consider that you can earn upwards of $1 per
subscriber per month, then these prices are extremely
reasonable:
0-500 subscribers: $19 per
month
501-2500 subscribers: $29 per
month
2501-5000 subscribers: $49 per
month
5001-10000 subscribers: $69 per
month
10001-25000 subscribers: $149 per
month
25000+ subscribers: price
negotiable
Final Comments
Overall I can strongly recommend
AWeber to anyone who wants to
build and maintain their own email lists. I've been using them
for several years now and I've been delighted with their
service overall.
My email lists are easily my most
valuable assets and AWeber is largely responsible for much of
my success online because not only do they offer exceptionally
high delivery rates but they have also enabled me to build a
large number of different email lists in a variety of different
niches, all under the same account.
There are other autoresponders
available (and cheaper ones as well) but AWeber is still the
biggest and best email autoresponder in my opinion and is one
of only a handful of internet marketing tools that I am happy
to endorse.
