Ad Tracking
To be successful on the internet, it's important that you test various different things and select those that give you the best results. This is really important, particularly if you are employing various different types of advertising campaigns. You need to find out which ads are performing the best, and stick with them, and weed out those that are not performing, or adjust the ad copy and test them again.
Ad trackers are programs that will track how well your ads are performing for you. They will idenitfy where every click-through to your site has come from. You will know exactly how many and which of your links people visiting your site clicked on. It will also tell you how many emails were opened, and how many then clicked through to your site, if you are running an email campaign. Ad trackers also tell you how many of these visitors from different ad campaigns went on and bought your product from your site.
Some web hosting providers will provide some tracking information. For example, my web host, BlueHost, who I can highly recommend by the way, provide some excellent stats in it's control panel, from three different tracking programs. This tells you where all your visitors are coming from, and what parts of the site they are visiting. However ad tracking software will give you far more comprehensive information, such as what your ROI (Return On Investment) is for different advertising campaigns, which is so crucial to your success.
There are plenty of ad tracking software available but the one I favour is AdTrackz. This will track everything for you, all for one one-off price, rather than monthly fees that some sites charge, and comes with a full 90-day guarantee. Please visit the site to see it's impressive list of features.
